MEET THE FOUNDER
WHY I STARTED THE SOCIAL CLUB
Socialite Society was born at a time I least expected it. In 2020, I was running my own marketing company, newly back in Chicago, and searching for a community of women who reflected both my drive and my depth. As most people know, the journey of entrepreneurship can be quite lonely, and the desire for community grows deeply. I wanted to be surrounded by women who were ambitious, creative, faith-filled, and intentional women who understood that fun and purpose can coexist in perfect balance. In the midst of Covid-19 this was especially hard to find.
I searched tirelessly for years, joining networking groups, “sisterhoods,” and social clubs that promised connection. Every space I entered left me quietly asking the same question: Where is the genuine connection? And when I did find good networking opportunities, I often couldn’t relate to the people in the room. I needed to be surrounded by women like me, and I knew that community had to exist somewhere.
Then, in the stillness, God whispered something that would change everything: Build the community yourself. For years, I resisted. I didn’t want to do the heavy lifting; I just wanted to join something that already existed. But in April 2024, I finally surrendered to the vision that wouldn’t leave me. On April 16th, Socialite Society was born. As time progressed, I realized this wasn’t just for me; it was for us.
What began as my personal search for connection has evolved into a space where women of color can genuinely connect, grow, and thrive together. Initially, it was all about cute gatherings, but it quickly evolved into something that truly reflects my heart, which is the pursuit of purpose. Socialite Society is now a home for women who lead boldly, learn richly, and live with intention. Beyond elegant events, we create experiences that pour into the whole woman; her purpose, her wellness, her personal and professional growth.
Today, Socialite Society has become more than I ever imagined. My prayer is that every woman who walks into our spaces feels seen, supported, and inspired to rise.
Because Chicago doesn’t need more parties; it needs purposeful gatherings and beautifully established networks for women who are willing to build tables, not just sit at them.
Here’s to the women who lead with light, to those becoming everything they were created to be, and to the community that makes the journey unforgettable.
